The iconic film Practical Magics long awaited sequel is finally here 20 years later, just in time for fall.
We will have auditorium 7 at Westminster Promenade to ourselves on September 13th,2026. Doors open at 7:30 pm with the screening beginning at 8:00pm.
Come dressed up or casual, revisit the Owens Sisters in community!
A bit about the film:
Set twenty-five years after the events of the first film, the story follows the Owens family as they face a new crisis when a discovery regarding the family's history and the origins of their magic comes to light. When Sally's daughter (Kylie) begins to uncover hidden family secrets and develops her own dark abilities, the family is plunged into a multi-generational struggle to finally break the curse that has haunted their lineage for centuries. The Owens women (Sally, Gillian, and their aunts) must once again unite, traveling from their home in Massachusetts to the United Kingdom to confront the source of their magic and save the next generation of their family.
Tickets are $19.00. Concessions not included. Seating begins at 7:30 pm the film will begin promptly at 8:00 pm. Please be on time as there are no “ticket readers” provided for this event.

A candle lights the way, but how?
There are multitudes of candles, 7 day, chime, household, figural. loadable & more. It can get a little overwhelming even for a seasoned practitioner.
Learn how to dress the different types of candles, how to choose the materia (herbs, oils, etc.) to work with, when to do the work, candle colors, configurations, history, what to do after the work is complete & more.
This will be a two part series, to be continued October 10th, 7:30-9:30pm

AUGUST MEETUPS - August 9th, 7pm - 9pm - Mugwort / Dreamwork / Protection / Mothers
This month, we will be meeting our first plant teacher: Mugwort - a teacher of dreaming, protection, and cultivating comfort. We will meet Mugwort in live form, learn about her preparations, her role in dreaming, protection, and connection to the mothers. We will sit with her, learn about how she can aid us, including a plant meditation, and learn more about her medicinal and magical properties. This meetup will work with Mugwort as a framework for exploring working with dreams, calling in protection, and working with matriarchs.
Participants are encouraged to work with the plant throughout the month before our next meetup, where we will have a quick sharing circle on our experiences from the month before.
For the Folk is a monthly meetup and community space rooted in reconnection, collective care, and the necessity-based magic that often accompanies the magic of the people and the things we do.
This group meets (on the second Saturday or second Sunday) of each month. Each month focuses on a plant ancestor for learning, integrating community medicine, folk magic, and centering on informal transmission of knowledge to support reconnection to human and non-human ancestors.
All of these gatherings are led by the plant ancestors - where they want to take us, what they want to teach us, and how they want to show up for you. Because of this, our outlines in the descriptions are subject to change. We ask that you come open to meet the plant teachers in whatever they feel you need in this moment.
For the Folk is strictly anti-fascist, rooted in collective liberation, right relationship, and we continue to work to develop our tenants to support a variety of people in their unique journey.
SEPTEMBER MEETUP - Sunday, September 19th, 7-9pm - Mallow / Energetics / Moisture / The Moon
This month, we will meet with the plant ancestor Mallow/Malva, a teacher of relaxation, bringing moisture and cooling to tissues, of softening in the face of adversity. We will meet with Mallow and learn about different applications for preparations, as well as discussing both magical and medicinal properties of this plant ancestor. This meetup will work with Mallow as a framework to talk more about herbal energetics, including herbs of different energetics, understanding our own energetics in the body.
Participants are encouraged to work with the plant throughout the month before our next meetup, where we will have a quick sharing circle on our experiences from the month before.

In this monthly meet up, we will explore different topics on the Tarot by a specific lecture each month with time at the end to engage one on one with each other and practice readings. This will be an open discourse with Q&A allowing you the space to learn no matter which skill level you may be at. Bring any Waite Smith style Tarot deck and a notebook to take notes is encouraged.
For the Folk - La Tavola (the Table) - FREE - Sunday, August 30th, 7-9pm
La Tavola is a quarterly community-oriented potluck for practitioners and paesani to come, eat, play games, and discuss folk magic in a decentralized community setting. Please feel free to bring a snack, some drinks, or a dish that reminds you of home. A Beginner's Guide to Hellenic Underworld Practice

Whether you are newly called to Hades and Persephone or simply wish to deepen your understanding of the chthonic path, this class offers a respectful and grounded introduction to one of the most misunderstood realms in Greek spirituality.

Ancient beliefs surrounding death, spirits, and the afterlife

HYATT STUDY GROUP with Loretta & Professor Charles Porterfield
The Hyatt materials are an anthropological gathering of interviews directly from Rootworkers in America starting in the 1920's - 1970's. These interviews are invaluable ancestral transmissions.
This is an opportunity to study the materials in community under direction of Professor Charles Porterfield.
This is an open to all community offering!
